We human beings have a terrible habit. It is that we love habits. We fall into them so easily. And life seems so smooth when we don’t have to think about what we are doing, we just float along. But our habitual behavior may well be harming us. It could be stopping us from following our life direction.
Our self-beliefs, other people’s expectations, and family traditions all can hamper our personal growth. So although it might not be easy or pleasant at first, we must break the habits that are not serving us.
We are not comfortable stepping out of the box. We are creatures of habit and have a difficult time getting out of a rut. Recognizing the routines that have become ruts is a good beginning. We can then focus on changing these and replacing them with habits that do support us.
Transformation means change. We must seek out change if we are going to find our life purpose. Starting new routines can be painful as we face new fears and anxieties that sometimes arise. But if we have a strong desire to follow our life direction , we need to create and live with new routines that support our vision of who we are and where we want to be.
